Our Service Placements
Midnight Mission
Crimsons serve Midnight Mission at 6am on Skid Row in downtown Los Angeles during the breakfast service. Crimsons work front and back of house, directly serving the residents and guests, and preparing food for the lunch service
St. Columbkille
Crimsons volunteer during the afterschool program that supports kids from Kindergarten to 8th grade. From basketball and soccer to drawing and playing pretend, supporting all grade levels and personalities.
Grace Hopper
Crimsons serve in two main ways at Grace Hopper STEM Academy. They tutor the middle school students in their after school program, and they mentor male students.
Other Services
In addition to our service placements, Crimson Circle serves the Loyola Marymount University community and the greater Los Angeles area in numerous ways.
Crimson organizes and runs a bi-annual Blood and Bone Marrow Drive with UCLA Health and the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP). Crimsons work beforehand to register individuals from across the LMU community to donate blood. During the drive, we work with NMDP to increase their list of potential donors. In all of our placements, Crimsons show up consistently, creating trusting relationships and transforming lives.
Crimson Circle members take part in Special Games, a student-run organization established in 1977, as a day of celebration for the members of the Los Angeles community with intellectual and physical disabilities, brining together the disability community of LA and LMU for fun, friendship and personal growth.
